Marsh Harbour, Abaco

-To mark Earth Day, the U.S.
Embassy in partnership with Civil Society Bahamas sponsored a special NGO
capacity building workshop on April 15 for environmental leaders throughout
Abaco. The Bahamas National Trust and Friends of the Environment hosted the
Marsh Harbour session facilitated by American NGO technical expert, Dawn Crosby. The workshop was part of U.S. Ambassador Nicole Avant's ongoing
commitment to support the efforts of local environmental organizations working
to protecting and preserving The Bahamas' land and marine habitats.

During the session American
presenter, Dawn Crosby, provided Abaco's environmental leaders with concrete
tools in identifying ways to align the resources, abilities and activities of
their organizations with the external environment in order to achieve the
