Man Stabbed To Death

Police on Sunday reported another homicide in the capital, the country?s 46th for the year.

The fatal incident occurred around 3 a.m. Sunday when several people became embroiled in an argument while in the area of the parking lot of a popular business establishment situated west of Arawak Cay, Assistant Superintendent of police Walter Evans reported.

A man described only as being in his early twenties was stabbed in the abdomen and subsequently rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery, however he succumbed to injuries several hours later, Mr. Evans said.

According to ASP Evans, a 19-year-old man was assisting police with their investigation into the homicide.

A week ago today, 20-year-old Colton Ferguson, a resident of Kemp Road, became the country?s 45th murder victim when he was gunned down inside a car.

According to police reports, a red Honda Accord with three occupants pulled up to a residence on Rosewood Street in Pinewood Gardens and one of the three occupants exited the vehicle and went into a house.

ASP Evans said shortly thereafter, the sounds of gunshots were heard and a man was seen leaving the area. He was wearing a yellow hood and a black jacket. One person ? Colton Ferguson ? was left on the inside of the vehicle when the gunshots were fired and he, according to police, received multiple gunshots about the body.

Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel
