Pinewood Gardens, South Beach, Garden Hills, Nassau Village and some parts of Blue Hill Road South — though miles apart — have one thing in common: house break-ins.
Over the past few years the southeastern district of New Providence, particularly Pinewood Gardens, has been plagued with murders and other violent crimes.
However, police said that trend has recently changed.
As it turns out, house break-ins have become particularly common in those areas.
Area police reported yesterday that beefed-up patrols is one of the measures police have taken to clamp down on crime in the southeast.
