COLLEGE of the Bahamas president and scholar in residence Keva Bethel died at Doctor’s Hospital early this morning following a grave illness.
Her passing follows that of her brother Michael Eldon, the first Anglican Bishop of the Bahamas, who died on February 7, and whose funeral will be held at Christ Church Cathedral in George Street, downtown Nassau, at 11am today.
Dr Bethel was seriously ill with cancer and had been diagnosed with cancer just months ago.
She is survived by her daughter Nicolette Bethel-Burrows and son Edward Bethel, who were at the hospital when she died at around 5am.
