BTC's 50th Anniversary Climaxes with Gala Event

BTC rounded up its 50th Anniversary Celebrations with a Gala Event on Thursday, June 30th. At the event, the company paid homage to its former leaders and honoured its former Government Ministers, General Managers, Chief Executive Officers, Board Members and Union Presidents.

CEO Leon Williams said, “BTC has a great legacy. We have evolved by leaps and bounds over the last five decades. It is always important to look back, especially to recognize and thank those who made our today possible.”

During the month of June, BTC celebrated fifty years since the Act of Parliament in 1966 that incorporated Telecommunications Department and named it BaTelCo.
