Carnival Mega Ship at Freeport Harbour

Carnival Cruise Lines mega ship, the Carnival Breeze called at Freeport, Grand Bahama, on Wednesday morning.

The 1,004-foot-long beautiful sea craft brought a record 4,527 passengers to the island making for a busy day at Freeport Harbour as the sister ship, Carnival Ecstasy, which has the capacity to bring more than 2,000 passengers was also docked at Freeport Harbour, as was the Celebration which sails regularly between Freeport and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Craft vendors, restaurants, taxi and tour operator had a good day as the harbour was a beehive of activities.

The Breeze, which operates seven- and 10-day cruises out of Galveston, Texas, will call at Freeport, Harbour once a month. The vessel will also make stops at Key West, and Nassau, Bahamas. It has a crew of more than 1,400 persons.
