Christian Council president urges non-partisan approach to national issues

Christian Council President Rev. Patrick Paul yesterday called on the government to work more closely with the opposition to address national concerns.
“We need to move above the partisan in politics,” said Paul, while delivering the sermon at the annual parliamentarians church service at the Salvation Army Citadel. “We are destroying ourselves as a country and we need to pull together and work together as one.”
Paul said too many of the decisions made by the government are done without consultation with the people. “Governments are to work on behalf of the people. Further, in a democracy, both the elected party and the opposition are to work together ...
