PCA 2016 main event champ to win $833,260

The $5,300 PCA 2016 Main Event is two levels into Day 2 and on the screens, the players can now see what they're competing for! There were 928 entries (including five no-shows) in to the flagship event of the festival, creating a $4,500,800 prize pool. The top 135 players will get paid and the last man standing is set to take $833,260, along with the title and coveted trophy.

Today, 25 players took advantage of late registered to enter the event on Day 2, including Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst, PCA 2016 $100k Super High Roller winner Bryn Kenney, WCOOP 2014 World Champion Feder Holz, EPT11 Grand Final €50k One-Day High Roller winner Mustapha Kanit, LAPT Bahamas runner-up Taylor Von Kriegenbergh, Stephen Chidwick, Ole Schemion and Igor Kurganov.

At the moment, some 350 players are still in contention. Steve O'Dwyer, who won the PCA 2016 $50k High Roller earlier this morning, is among the current leaders and now sitting on a 200k+ stack.

AMERICANS DOMINATE THE PCA FIELD
Even though the PCA is held in the Bahamas, it's often considered a home stop for players from the United States and the Main Event nationality pie chart, which you can see below, proves this once again. Among the 923 players who entered, 304 came from the USA, more than a third of the entire field. Canada was in second place with 151 players (16%) and the UK lies third with 58 players (6%). However the PCA always has widespraed appeal and there are players here from 63 countries all over the world.

MEDIA INFO
All media attending the PCA are prohibited from any kind of gaming anywhere in the Bahamas for the duration of the event. This includes off-property casinos, online or in your hotel room. PCA 2016
A record 104 tourneys are taking place at Atlantis during the 2016 PCA festival. Aside from the Super High Roller, second LAPT Bahamas Main Event (unlimited re-entries, starts January 7, now with reduced $2,200 buy-in) and PCA 2016 Main Event, there is also a $50k One-Day High Roller Single Re-Entry on January 9.
