The Bahamas Waste team recently hosted a group of Year 4 students from St. Andrew’s School on a tour of their facilities. During the tour, the students learned about their medical waste facility, their cardboard recycling facility and other waste processes. The group was very excited and enthusiastic as they learned about the various ways Bahamas Waste processes waste.

"The visit gave students first-hand knowledge about how materials are reduced, reused and recycled," said Charlene Barry and Patrice Perpall, Year 4 Teachers at St. Andrew's. "The students left Bahamas Waste site filled with knowledge and enthusiasm."

Bahamas Waste encourages any school teacher or youth group leader to plan a visit to their facilities to show students exactly where their waste goes by contacting them at (242) 361-6841.
