The Cat Island Sailing Club Association recently donated food items to 20 senior citizens residing in Cat Island. The project was held in conjunction with Allen Gilbert of Gilbert's Food Market and the Department of Social Services in recognition of Senior Citizens Month during October.

The Project 20/20 Food Presentation Program was held at the regatta site in Cat Island on Friday October 16. Those in attendance were Cat Island Sailing Club Association President Pat Strachan, past president Max Burrows, treasurer Andrea Sturrup, Allen Gilbert, Brad Dorsett, Keisha Rolle and Ms. Seymour of the Department of Social Services.

Gilbert donated 50 percent of the food cost to the sailing club and he pledged his support for the project next year. Remarks were brought by the president Pat Strachan at the event.
