…FRED EXPECTED TO BECOME A POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE LATER TODAY…

AT 11:00 AM AST, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM FRED WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 19.8°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 30.9°WEST OR ABOUT 525 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.

Fred is moving toward the West-NorthWest near 10 MPH and this general motion is expected to continue during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 miles per hour with higher gusts. Weakening is expected during the next 48 hours, and FRED IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE LATER TODAY.
