With tropical storm Erika possibly tracking our way, everyone should be thinking about their hurricane plan and stocking up just in case. Please remember to stock up for your pets also!
Pets should not be left outdoors in even a minimal hurricane or tropical storm. If you are able to stay in your home, you must bring your pets indoors. If you live in an evacuation area and will not be staying in your home, please make arrangements now to board your pets - do not wait until the last minute as the few boarding facilities (including the HSGB shelter) will fill up fast. None of the human shelters on Grand Bahama will allow pets. Make sure to have adequate water and food supplies for your pets.
