Aktion Club. - On May 2, 2015, The Bahamas awoke to IAAF Relays fever and all eyes and hearts were fixed on the national stadium. All except a few brave warriors armed with a desire to serve and a commitment to making our beaches cleaner. This group of people was the Aktion Club sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Fort Montagu.

We were armed with gloves garbage bags and the enthusiasm that if we all do a small part, each of us, then we truly can make this world better. We fanned out in pairs and tackles the beach as our aim to get as much refuse that would fit in a sacs. We battled all manner of throw away, from the libations, containers, broken glass, plastic of all kinds, fishing lines, plastic plates, cups. We would not be dissuaded from our purpose as we pressed on towards our mission. At the end of it, we removed approximately 100lbs of garbage from Goodman Bay shore so that our fellow Bahamian and guest can enjoy our beautiful beach.
