NOBODY was more proud of Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace's bronze medal performance at the 10th FINA World Championships than Bahamas Swimming Federation (BSF) president Algernon Cargill.

During a brief welcome ceremony at the Lynden Pindling International Airport yesterday, Cargill said it was an historic appearance for the Bahamas at the championships in Dubai where Vanderpool-Wallace clinched the Bahamas' first medal at that level in the women's 50 metres freestyle on Sunday.
