Last week I wrote that, "When a murder takes place, an armed robbery, a rape, a car theft, a house breaking, a stabbing, a gang attack, we are witnessing the final act, the culmination or climax of a destructive process. The problems of the young man who commits one of these offenses did not begin the day he broke the law; a great many things failed in that man's life before he came to the point of killing or robbing someone, of housebreaking or gang activity.
His home failed, his extended family failed, his school failed, his church failed, his friends failed, civic organizations failed, the agencies of government intended to stand in when others can't or won't also failed. A ...
