Chinese man arrested at LPIA with diamonds

A Chinese national was arrested at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) on Thursday after he was found with several diamonds, police reported yesterday.
Officers acting on intelligence went to the immigration section of the airport around 6 p.m. and made

the arrest.
The 29-year-old was unable to provide a reasonable explanation of how he came to possess the diamonds, police said.
Police did not say where the man traveled from.
Police said they were trying to determine the exact value of the diamonds, but suspect they are worth several thousand dollars.
