People 'can keep existing coverage under NHI'
BAHAMIANS who are satisfied with their existing health insurance coverage won't be affected by the implementation of National Health Insurance although they may be able to renegotiate their private insurance plans in order to pay a lower price, Health Minister Dr Perry Gomez said yesterday.

Christie cites 600M price tag for undefined vital benefits package
The Christie administration has drafted a National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill which does not define the pivotal Vital Benefits Package, but speaking with Guardian Business yesterday in the margins of the 25th Bahamas Business Outlook, Prime Minister Perry Christie said the cost of the package has been estimated at between $600 million and $700 million, and spoke of a possible phased approach.
