Barracuda swim team turned in strong performances in Florida

A 26-member team from the Barracuda Swim Club recently traveled to Plantation, Florida, to take part in the Speedo Winter Championships, and the athletes turned in phenomenal performances. Coaches Susanne Coleby and Travano McPhee traveled with the team.
The team, which was comprised of 17 male swimmers and nine girls, returned with 12 medals.

Family Guardian/Barracuda staged a successful swim meet

The Betty Kelly-Kenning National Aquatics Centre was filled to capacity as spectators were from Abaco, Grand Bahama and New Providence, and watched as swimmers tried to achieve times to qualify for the upcoming 23rd Speedo Winter Championships, at the Family Guardian/Barracuda Swim Invitational. Joshua Roberts became the first swimmer to qualify for the CARIFTA Swimming Championships, in the 400 meters (m) freestyle event for boys 11-12, this year.
