Government signs contract to upgrade Coroner's Court

The government signed a contract yesterday to begin the renovation of the Royal Victoria Gardens complex to accommodate a second coroner's court. The government hopes the addition will help to clear the backlog of cases before the court.

Primary school closes after third day of plumbing problem

Carmichael Primary School was closed early yesterday when teachers refused to hold classes after the school experienced plumbing problems for the third consecutive day.
The Nassau Guardian was not allowed on the premises to see the conditions, but teachers described them as “disgusting and unsanitary”.
