Primary school closes after third day of plumbing problem

Carmichael Primary School was closed early yesterday when teachers refused to hold classes after the school experienced plumbing problems for the third consecutive day.
The Nassau Guardian was not allowed on the premises to see the conditions, but teachers described them as “disgusting and unsanitary”.
“The [toilets] were not flushed for two days,” Bahamas Union of Teachers (BUT)?president Belinda Wilson said.
She went to the school yesterday to hold a meeting with the teachers about the plumbing problems.
