2,100 working at Baha Mar

Nearly two months after having its phase one opening, Baha Mar has employed more than 2,100 Bahamians and has surpassed the 50 percent occupancy mark, Baha Mar President Graeme Davis said yesterday.

The prime minister toured Baha Mar yesterday. The billion-dollar resort at Cable Beach is slowly growing to be what the country needs it to be.

New company creates Uber-like experience for The Bahamas

A new company is launching a ride sharing app similar to the popular Uber and Lyft apps, called GetMe Ride, which utilizes taxi cabs that will be beholden to fares generated by the app.

Baha Mar 'on target' for opening

Baha Mar is on schedule to meet its April 21 opening and has hired "well over" 1,000 employees of the 1,500 it expects to complement the phased launch, according to Robert "Sandy" Sands, Baha Mar's senior vice president of administration and external affairs.
