More colon cancer awareness needed

Dear Editor,
I read with interest Marcus Coopers' article in a recent edition of The Nassau Guardian, in which he advises that his two-year study identified about 25 people under 50 afflicted by colon cancer, and a total of 129 new cases.
I'm not sure if this small number warrants a nationwide screening process, but certainly the public needs more awareness.
