Man gunned down protecting family

Forty-four-year-old Andre Cartwright died in his stepfather's arms early yesterday morning after he was gunned down during a home invasion in the Blair Estates community, loved ones said.
Police said around 1:40 a.m., three men kicked down the front door of Cartwright's home on Richmond Avenue, which he shared with his mother, stepfather and uncle.

Girl, 15, shot dead Man murdered in separate incident

A 15-year-old girl was shot to death in Grand Bahama and a man in his 30s was stabbed to death in New Providence over the weekend in separate incidents, police said.
The girl was shot multiple times in the head at a bar in Kings Subdivision, Eight Mile Rock, around 3:06 a.m. Sunday, police said.
