Cross Erected In Honour Of Cuban Teacher

A special solemn service of prayer was held in honour of Mr. Alexis Degournay Loynaz, the Cuban teacher that died in a ghastly vehicle accident in Andros, Bahamas last week. The service was held on Friday, October 08, 2010, at the very sport the accident occurred. In the course of the prayer service, a wooden cross was erected in his honor.

Plans in progress for multi- purpose gymnasium for South Andros

A multi-purpose gymnasium is on the drawing board for South Andros. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Development the Hon. Philip Davis outlined plans for the facility to be constructed at The Bluff at a cost of $500,000 during a stopover visit to the island recently.
