GBHS clinics to resume normal hours Friday
With the all-clear has been given for Grand Bahama, Abaco, Bimini and the Berry Islands as Hurricane Nicole moved away from The Bahamas and over to central Florida as a tropical storm, the Grand Bahama Health Services (GBHS) has announced that all clinics will resume normal working hours on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Cleveland Clinic trial finds six widely-used dietary supplements do not lower cholesterol compared with either a low-dose statin or placebo
Findings from a Cleveland Clinic trial show that six commonly used dietary supplements marketed for improving heart health did not lower “bad cholesterol” when compared to a low-dose cholesterol-lowering medication (also known as a statin) or placebo. The six supplements studied included fish oil, garlic, cinnamon, turmeric, plant sterols and red yeast rice.

August 19th--20th, Dance Clinic GBI (DCGBI) returned to Grand Bahama Island for its first in-person workshop since Covid-19. With classes tailored to dancers and performing artists, the weekend clinic allowed young artists from Grand Bahama, Nassau, and Atlanta, Georgia, to train with industry professionals in the second city of The Bahamas.
