'State and quality' of Mortgage Corp.'s financials stump auditor

The Bahamas Mortgage Corporation's (BMC) report for the financial year ending June 2012 reveals that the corporation did not have "sufficient" and "appropriate" evidence to support the balances and transactions that accompanied its financial statements. Fidelity: Mortgage arrears could be stabilizing

In its 2015 Annual Report, Fidelity Bank (Bahamas) Limited identified a trend that indicates mortgage arrears are perhaps stabilizing.
The report pointed out that non-performing mortgage loans remained static during the year. In addition, the bank's mortgage portfolio declined by $12.3 million due to reduced demand and the inability of potential borrowers to qualify.
