It is good to return to the island of my birth to celebrate the milestone of the graduation of the Class of 2010 at the Inagua All Age School, the school where I began my own life-long quest for knowledge.

The people of Inagua appeared in good spirits yesterday, despite the fact that many of the island's buildings were severely damaged by Hurricane Ike, and there was no electricity and - up to press time - running water on the island.
