Man killed in car crash near airport

A man was killed and two others were injured when a dump truck and a rental car collided on Coral Harbour Road near Lake Killarney yesterday.
The MAC truck was traveling south and the silver Chevrolet Aveo was traveling north when the crash occurred just before noon, police said.
Police said the driver of the rental car was crushed on impact and died on the scene.

Arson probe in scrap metal yard fire

Fire department officials are investigating the possibility of arson after a raging fire erupted at the scrap metal yard near Anatol Rodgers High School yesterday morning, causing clouds of smoke to billow in the school's direction, according to Fire Services Director Superintendent Walter Evans.
