Description
One of the best beaches in the Bahamas can be found at Blue Lagoon Island, also known by its official name Salt Cay. Frequently called the "real Bahamas, Blue Lagoon has been an interesting part of The Bahamas' history and is one of the most well known of Nassau's natural attractions and tours. Located just three miles from Nassau, it is now the home of the dolphins and sea lions of Dolphin Encounters and is owned by a local family. This incredibly beautiful island has had a fascinating past and continues to be the number one attraction in Nassau/Paradise Island for activities with families and is wonderfully enlightening and educational excursion suited for children and adults alike.

At the Blue Lagoon the possibilities are endless. When I went couldn't choose what to do first. Whether it renting a boat and exploring or just going on one of there tours. They also make great drink at there bar. Overall the Blue Lagoon is a great place to go and a great location at that.

You are so close to Nassau, but you are on your own private island where you can explore and have fun and swim with dolphins etc. A great day out...
