Welcome to the Guana Beach Resort and the Sunset Beach Bar and Grill on Great Guana Cay, Abaco Bahamas. This resort started out as the Guana Harbour Club in the late 1950?s; when it was the place to go in Abaco.

The present owners bought it in May 2002 and have just finished a major renovation. It consists of a six suite hotel and a pool bar and grill on a beach on Fishers bay in the Sea of Abaco.

The resort is on the edge of the historic settlement a short walk from the ferry dock. The Atlantic Ocean beach is a five minute walk. Just offshore and in easy snorkeling distance is the world?s third largest barrier reef with beautiful coral formations and all manner of tropical fish.

Great Guana Cay is a seven mile long narrow cay, a short ferry ride from Marsh Harbour, the third largest Bahamian town. Marsh Harbour has an international airport with flights arriving from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Daytona, Orlando, and Jacksonville, It has large modern grocery stores, gift shops, restaurants of all kinds, boat charters and rentals, a kayak/ bird watching/ eco tour co. and all manner of services.

Guana Cay has a Laundromat/ gift shop/ ice cream store, a grocery store, and five bar/ restaurants ranging from a beach bar and grill to a fine dining restaurant.

Orchid Bay Marina is a full service marina with 32 slips, a restaurant and bar. There are miles of beaches for walking, shelling and swimming, and miles of roads to explore. There are golf carts, bikes and kayaks to rent. We have a local dive/ tour boat, deep sea fishing and bonefish guides.

There are ferries to take you to other islands such as Man-O-War Cay with it?s boat building and sail shop, or Hope Town and it?s famous kerosene lit lighthouse. There is a golf course on Treasure Cay and tennis courts in Marsh Harbour.

The studios, foundry and gallery featuring the bronze and gold work of the Johnston family in Little Harbour are accessible by boat or by car from Marsh Harbour.
