A Man was found dead ashore a beach in South Eleuthera on Monday, New Year's Eve. Police on that island responded to a tip and found a caucasion man upon the shore apparently wearing snorkeling gear.

Florida man allegedly drowns while snorkeling in Abaco

A 56 year old male of Jupiter Florida, reportedly drowned while snorkeling at Spanish Cay, Abaco. The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 pm on Thursday 17th May, 2012. Initial reports indicate that the victim was snorkeling with family members when he complained of being fatigued.
