Murder In Abaco

Police in Abaco launched an island-wide hunt yesterday for an assailant who shot a 26-year-old man during an altercation at a motel in Sandy Point. Police said the man died around 10 a.m. at a local clinic.

Prosecutors drop murder charge

Prosecutors this week dropped a murder charge after a court refused to accept evidence they believed supported their case.
Solomon Mortimer was charged with the murder of Jimmy Nonorme. On the prosecution's case, Nonorme identified "Solly" as the person who shot him near the Corner Motel on November 9, 2007. Nonorme died in January as a result of the gunshot injury, according to a pathologist.
