Business owners say Baillou Hill Rd switch was illegal

The Coconut Grove Business League (CGBL) claimed yesterday that Minister of Public Works Neko Grant acted unlawfully by not considering the economic impact ofthe government's decision tomake Blue Hill Road and Market Street one-way thoroughfares.

Arguments began yesterday in the judicial review of the government decision before Supreme Court Justice Neville Adderley.

Baillou Hill Rd, Market St now one-way

Traffic on two north/south roads has shifted to one way as part of the governments road improvement plan.

Traffic that once flowed in both directions is now restricted to northbound traffic on Baillou Hill Road (from Robinson Road to Wulff Road) and southbound traffic on Market Street (from Wulff Road to Robinson Road).
