February 11 stadium opening forces regatta rescheduling

A STAPLE on the local sloop sailing calendar, the silver jubilee anniversary of the St Valentine's Day regatta will be postponed due to a conflict with the opening ceremonies for the new national stadium on February 11.
The new date for the "Catch Me If You Can" regatta is February 18-19 at Montagu foreshore.

A new Regatta Trophy has been commissioned and named for Sir Durward Knowles by Richard Browning, CEO of the Palm Cay Marina, the unique water-front residential development on Eastern Road.
Its first public presentation, along with a cash prize will be to the winner of the "Catch Me If You Can" St. Valentine's Regatta race on Sunday, February 19 at the Montagu foreshore, New Providence.
