2018 Grand Bahama Technology Summit | The Future is Now

The Office of the Prime Minister Grand Bahama, in keeping with its mandate to develop Grand Bahama as a Technology Hub, building upon the foundation of last year's Tech Conference and the Venture Conference held earlier this year, will host its 2nd Grand Bahama Technology Summit; which will be held 14th -16th November, 2018 at the Grand Lucayan Convention Center.
The Summit serves as a call to all industry stakeholders and professionals locally and internationally. To be informed on initiatives undertaken by the Government and the Grand Bahama Technology Steering Committee and to bring continued local and international awareness that Grand Bahama is open for business as the Silicon Islands of the Caribbean.

Edmund Moxey Cultural Week

Edmund Moxey, was born in 1933 on Ragged Island. A man of humble origins with a passion for community and family.
Educated in Nassau, but with the heart of an out islander, Edmund believed the most important aspects of Bahamian life are spirit, love,music and culture.
Edmund Moxey was one of the first "true cultural warriors". The creator of the original Coconut Grove Festival, he injected vitality and hope of economic prosperity into Jumbey Village.
Despite opposition from political rivals and many hardships, Edmund Moxey was recognised as a true community leader, and was elected to the position of Member of Parliament for Jumbey Village. He stood up against those within and without his own party for the people who he represented selflessly.
This week is dedicated to a Man's accomplishments and legacy.

You can enjoy your meal in our Beach Bar & Deck restaurant or on the beach. The menu includes a shrimp and conch creamy chowder as appetizer, a combo that adds a twist to this Bahamian classic. Or, you can choose a shrimp or chicken flatbread, with handmade dough flattened thin and topped with basil pesto and mozzarella baked to a crisp.
The entree is a Surf and Turf combo of steak and shrimp, or a combo of rosemary chicken and shrimp, served with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Dessert is Key Lime Pie or the chef's special dessert. One glass of complimentary wine is provided, per person.
