The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is pleased to present Forbidden Fruit: The Discover of The Americas and its New Foods Portrayed in European Painting, a lecture by Bahamian Professor George Wanklyn, Associate Professor, The American University of Paris.

The lecture will examine the discoveries in the Americas with a specfic focus on the findings of new things to eat & drink.It will trace the transmission of these offerings of the New World to the Old World and will illustrate the growing familiarity with these new products through their diverse representations in works of European art.
