Man acquitted of armed robbery

A jury yesterday acquitted Eric Collie of armed robbery by a majority verdict.
Prosecutors alleged that Collie, 50, who was also known as Chump, robbed Rudea Pierre at gunpoint of an unknown sum on September 26, 2011.
Collie denied the charge at his trial before Senior Justice Jon Isaacs.
