Plane Crashes in Bimini

BIMINI, Bahamas - Officials have confirmed two people died Sunday in a plane crash in Bimini, a Bahamian island.

A South Bimini Airport officials say that a twin-engine Piper plane crashed shortly after 4 p.m.

The two people who were on board are believed to have been an airline mechanic from New Providence and a pilot from Major's Air.

The investigation into the crash is now underway.
