Bay Street closed for Junior Junkanoo
BAY Street closed at 1pm today in preparation for the Junior Junkanoo parade tonight.
The festival will open with a ceremony in Rawson Square at 5.30pm and the parade featuring a total of 22 schools is expected to go on until after midnight.

The Junkanoo Jam NCAA women's tournament wrapped up on November 27th in
Grand Bahama Island with exciting basketball action right up until the
final minutes, ending with Florida State Seminoles, who trailed the
entire game with Arizona State Sun Devils taking the win in the final

It was a Thanksgiving to remember and a far cry from the shacks packed with glued and glittered costumes for this year's Boxing Day Junkanoo parade, but the good cheer and camaraderie were just as vibrant when leaders of all the major Junkanoo groups gathered in the board room of Bank of The Bahamas Thursday to learn that the 'bank of solutions' would sponsor each with a total donation of $6,000.

Junkanoo Carnival teams up with National Regatta Committee
The BNFC teams up with the Sir Durward Knowles National Junior Championship Regatta to host a party in the backyard for the inaugural event. Previously, the junior championship regatta was held during the same time as the National Family Island Regatta in April.
