BTVI names nine-member board for semi-autonomous institute

The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) is now a semi-autonomous body with a nine-member board.

VAT 'inequity' fears in construction sector

Industry insiders in the construction industry said if the 15 percent value added tax (VAT) is not implemented across the board next July, it could create a "serious inequity" within the sector.
