Acklins police make firearm arrest

A 39-year-old man from Chester's Acklins is in police custody in connection with the discovery of a handgun and ammunition, according to police.

Police at Acklins arrested the man around 1:58 a.m. on Sunday after conducting a search of a white 2003 Ford Ranger truck where they discovered the items.
