BANK SEEKING TOYS FOR TOTS

THE Bank of the Bahamas and the Kiwanis Club of Nassau AM launched the Toys for Tots Drive yesterday.

Members of the public may drop off new, unwrapped toys suitable for children up to 12 years old, to any BOB location in New Providence until Wednesday, December 21.

Man gets five years for armed robbery with toy gun

A judge yesterday sentenced a man to five years in prison for armed robbery.
However, Sidney Ospin only has three years remaining on his sentence because the time he spent in custody awaiting trial has been deducted.
Ospin admitted to robbing a vendor of phone cards, worth $465, and $900 cash while armed with a toy gun on August 24, 2011.
