Musician Wyclef Jean to run for Haiti president

Haitian-born musician Wyclef Jean has said he will run for president of the earthquake-hit Caribbean country.

The Fugees star will officially announce his candidacy on Larry King's CNN show on Thursday, media reports say.

Haiti is scheduled to elect a new leader on 28 November.

With about 100 members, the Bahamas Music Conservatory has put classical music in the tiny hands of students as young as two. There are also a few students with grey hair and many in between.

Their orchestra, The Scotiabank Debut Orchestra, began with developing musicians in mind and has already given several performances.
