Sloop with 101 Haitian migrants runs aground off Harbour Island

A sloop holding more than 100 Haitian migrants ran aground just south of Harbour Island Saturday night, Director of Immigration Jack Thompson told The Nassau Guardian yesterday. Thompson said the police received reports about the sloop around 7 p.m., and explained that the response from police and immigration officers was immediate.
