Hundreds Bid Farewell to Sir Clifford Darling
Hundreds of Bahamians paused yesterday to bid farewell to Sir Clifford Darling, who was remembered as a hero of The Bahamas during a state funeral. Sir Clifford, the archipelago's fourth governor general, died on December 27 at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH).

I was saddened to learn of the death of Sir Clifford Darling.? I have very fond memories of him as governor general.? Sir Clifford formally received me to The Bahamas when I presented my papers as ambassador to the commonwealth in March 1994.
