Nassau, Bahamas - The Government
of The Bahamas announces that it has today concluded the Agreement by
which it has contracted to sell a 51% interest in the Bahamas Telecommunications

Letter: How much greater will costs be when Cable Wireless controls BTC

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I read a recent long letter in The Tribune about the likelihood of BTC under the control of Cable & Wireless introducing substantial charges for local land line calls.

For your information Cable & Wireless in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands presently charges at least 10 cents (US) per minute for local land line calls in those countries.
