BAHA MAR REACHES AGREEMENT OVER LOAN ON HOTELS

BAHA Mar announced last night that it has reached an agreement with the ScotiaBank-led syndicate to "settle all outstanding issues" regarding the loan on the Cable Beach hotels.

Hotel revenue during the first eight months of 2010 grew by 7.7%to$167 million, with Executive Vice President of The Bahamas Hotel Association(BHA)Frank Comito saying promotional campaigns played an important role in the growth.

Nassau/PI hotels in 11 rate rise
