COB students charged with kidnapping

Two students of The College of The Bahamas have been charged with the kidnapping and armed robbery of another student.

Teachers will strike if no COB deal by April 16

The Union of Tertiary Educators of the Bahamas (UTEB) wants administrators from the College of The Bahamas to agree to an immediate lockdown, meeting until the parties have signed 32 remaining clauses of their trade agreement.

The UTEB said the College has left it no choice but to begin a strike on Monday, April 19, if they have not finished negotiations by the previous Friday.

Three College of The Bahamas students who died during the 2009-2010 academic year were remembered during an hour-long memorial service held in the college's Performing Arts Center Thursday.
