The loyal members of the Sister Sister Breast Cancer Support Group traveled to Abaco last month to participate in a health outreach to the residents of that community.

More than 400 supporters walked their way to $8,000 for the Abaco chapter of the Cancer Society.
Organized by Leah Pinder, a breast cancer survivor of six years, the Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon in Abaco included 415 registered participants.

National Drug Plan will help 35,000
The National Prescription Drug Plan will provide free medications for 11 chronic, non-communicable diseases to 35,000 Bahamians in its initial stage, Tami Francis, Drug Plan Project Manager said Tuesday.
Mrs Francis said eight million dollars has been ?set aside? by officials of the National Insurance Board for Phase I of The Plan.
