NAGB Fall/Winter Film Series presents The Last Temptation of Christ

Thursday 30th March 2017  7:00 PM

Faith plays a large part in the fabric of Bahamian society. As such, exceptional works of art allow the viewer to re-examine that devotion. The best works inspire, illuminate, and challenge what it means to have faith.

On Thursday, March 30th starting at 7pm the NAGB presents The Last Temptation of Christ, directed by acclaimed director Martin Scorsese. It?s a deeply felt religious film that explores the issue of Christ being a man and not a religious icon.

The film, unfairly maligned and attacked upon its release in 1988, has lost none of its power in the ensuing years, and can now be judged on its artistic merits rather than the hyperbole that accompanied it upon its release.

Please note that the film is 3 hours long and will be screened from 7-10pm.
